For this project, CF Electrical Service was hired to installation a manual cutover transfer switch so that the homeowners could tie in a portable generator to power the electrical service in their home in the event of a power outage.
In the photos you can see that we cut through the concrete (and sealed with waterproof epoxy) to install a weatherproof connector for the portable generator. The advantage with this type of setup, is that you do not have to leave a door open to run the power wire from the generator. The home can stay secure, watertight – keeping rodents and any other unwanted guests out.
